Food Waste Recycling Bin Range

Here at Leafield Environmental, we understand the challenges of food waste and to support the UK Government’s commitment to reduce food waste by 2030, we have launched a dedicated food waste recycling bin range designed for office kitchens, canteens and hospitality, retail and leisure environments.  

According to the Waste Resources Action Plan (WRAP) for every two tonnes of food we eat, one tonne is wasted and the UK’s catering and hospitality sector alone is estimated to throwaway 1 million tonnes of food a year with 75% of that thought to be avoidable.

Leafield’s Food Waste Bins:

• Leafield’s Mini Food Waste Recycling Bin – has a 55-litre capacity and is one of Leafield’s smallest office recycling bins. The lift lid is easy to remove for cleaning and features a WRAP compliant food waste label as standard. The black unit is made from 100% recycled plastic (subject to availability) and has a sack retaining feature for discreet fitting of the refuse bag. Dimensions: H:660mm, W:302mm, D:523mm.

• Leafield’s Envirobin 100 Food Waste Recycling Bin –  has a 100-litre capacity and is Leafield’s original recycling solution and is still a popular choice. The lift lid is easy to remove for cleaning and features a WRAP compliant food waste label as standard. The black unit is made from 100% recycled plastic (subject to availability) and has a sack retaining feature for discreet fitting of the refuse bag. Dimensions: H:803mm, W:445mm, D:445mm.

• Leafield’s Midi Food Waste Recycling Bin – has an 82-litre capacity and its slimline, compact and space saving design makes it ideal for medium volume waste recycling. The lift lid is easy to remove for cleaning and features WRAP compliant food waste labels as standard. The black unit is made from 100% recycled plastic (subject to availability) and has a sack retaining feature for discreet fitting of the refuse bag. Dimensions: H:866mm, W:302mm, D:541mm.

• Leafield’s EnviroStep Food Waste Recycling Bin – has a 90-litre capacity and is ideal for food service environments. The front moulded handle and non-marking wheels makes it easy to manoeuvre. Features mould-in graphic labels in WRAP compliant colours and icon and has a sack frame, for quick and safe bin maintenance. Dimensions: W:600mm, H:970mm, D:370mm.

Significant progress is being made through WRAP’s Food Waste Reduction Roadmap, where the UK’s largest retailers, food producers, manufacturers and hospitality and food service companies have committed to target, measure and act on food waste. WRAP also run their citizen ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ campaign sharing tips and advice to save food waste.
